 played crash bandicoot and it reminded me how much I used to love snowboarding so I started this guy, he's a work in progress, please don't copy my work. it's a work in progress I'll be posting updates I want to post a video turotial of the process behind the modeling but I'm new to blender atm I remember what I did so I can make a temp character to explain this this is 2 days worth of work I plan on working on him till I'm satisfied I don't have zbrush or max atm so I'm going wide with the base meshes, I'm seriously considering mudbox though cause of the price I had adobe and maxxon but then I had like 12$ in my account. I'm not pro, I've just been doing it for 17-18 years now. anyway I used a top down design I took an old sketch that I did of a human face in college and just started modeling then I changed it in blender to how I wanted it. but that pencil and paper head sketch allowed me to start with the head and use the top down modeling, theoary, in that instead of focusing on the least important part about the character the foot like the joan of arc tutorial I was able to start with one cube and extrude down the neck to the shoulders pull out the torso then make the pelvis and then finally the legs in about an hour of moving verts then I applied the joan of arc animaation cuts to the model and I will be updating the topology until I'm satisfied with the base mesh, my goal is to make an animation in the engine for youtube because tbh atm I've been in the hospital so manytimes blueprints is a nightmare to me, atm I get somewhere then everything I was working on has to be refigured out because my train of though is delayed for 15 days cause people don't understand me. anyway, whatever. I worked on the coat after that then the pants boots, then I used a plane for the board and shaped it out then extruded the z then I'll fill in th bottom in a bit, I can't wait to get to the textures and materials, I'm an ai junkie and I use playgroundAI with gimp and unreal for my textures. I can't wait to make the vid of the charater. anyway here's the start of the model so far! 

the thing on the right is my desktop I was playing around with in illustrator with there generative fills and ai lol I wish I got my ptsd money I have to file with the va and my social worker is figting me I'm a 9/11 vet. and I broke my leg outside of auschwitz germany the smell of the prison camp and the roadsign are the last thing I remember before I passed out that morning coming back from snowboarding and getting airlifted out of a ditch somewhere in germany after the car hit a tree that night. my leg was laying across my lap and my hips were in the driver seat, they thought my liver was bleeding and they wouldn't let me call my mom from the hospital. I got sent back to my unit and put on my time extended they don't want to give me a dime for it, and that was in a war zone at one time it's basically the highway of hell in my mind.

WORKING ON THE RIGGING ATM i'M USING A BEZIER CURVE TO CONTROL ONE BONE PER OBJECT. =) THE HEAD BONE WILL BE ABLE TO LOOK AROUND THEN i'MA HOOK UP THE CAMERA CONTROLS TO THAT. aSIDE FROM THE MODELING TOOLS WHICH ARE ORGANIZE DIF THAN MAX i'M LIKKING IT, JUST HAVE TO DIG THROUGH THE PROGRAM TO UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING. =)

i SET UP MY EMPTYS ALREADY TOO i'M GONA USE THOSE FOR MOVEMENT LIKE A CAT AND THEN USE THE COLLISIONS IN BLENDER IN UNREAL AFTER i GET DUDE ANIMATED. LOL DUDE'S SUPER LOW POLY TOO, YALL GET ONE FOR FREE, i'LL PROBABLY NEVER GET TO THE NORMAL MAPPS CAUSE FUCK MAXXON IS HIGH CLASS AND PHOTOSHOP IS A NIGHT MARE ON MY BUDGET. i HAD 12$ IN THE BANK THIS MONTH. =/ 

ALSO i THINK TOM AND MARK AND FELIPE WENT WEST AND ABANDONED ME HERE EVERYTHING WAS LOCKED AND NO ONE IS IN THE HOUSE. LOL GOTTA BE LIKE M AND GET MY ART WORKING FOR ME i'M A CIVILIAN NOW. NO CLUE HOW TO GET TO THE VA TBH, i MIGHT HAVE TO MARCH ACROSS TOWN AND LAURA WILL NOT BE HAPPY TO SEE ME.
